Center for American Progress, Institut du Bosphore and the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs are organize a round table entitled « TURKEY 2023: A LONG-TERM VISION FOR INCLUSIVE GROWTH » on Thursday 23 June 2016 in Paris.
Turkey 2023 is part of “Turkey in Europe and the World? —? A Trilateral Initiative” funded by Stiftung Mercator. The project is a cooperative effort by the Center for American Progress (Washington), Istanbul Policy Center (Istanbul) and Istituto Affari Internazionali (Rome) to outline a long-term prosperity vision for Turkey, explore its role in Europe and the transatlantic relationship, assess the state of the Republic and its institutions one hundred years after its foundation, and examine its position in the region and the world. The roundtable begins with the welcome note of Bahadir Kaleagasi, Institut du Bosphore President, is followed by the keynote speech of H.E. Erdem Basci, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkey to the OECD, Former Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey (2011 – April 2016). During the roundtable debate moderated by Didier Billion, Deputy Director, IRIS and Board Member of Institut du Bosphore, Alan Makovsky, Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress present the economic roadmap outlined by the Trilateral Task Force.
