The meeting of the Scientific Committee co-chaired by Ms. Ümit N. Boyner and Mr. Augustin de Romanet was held on 6 April 2023, via zoom on the theme «Towards the elections: Politics, Economy, Europe and relations between Türkiye and France ».

Following Scientific Committee Copresidents’ opening remarks, TÜSİAD Board Member and Global Relations and EU Roundtable Chair Mr. B. Can Yücaoğlu briefed on the management of crisis in the aftermath of the earthquake in Türkiye and international aid. The debate was introduced by Koç University-TUSIAD Economic Research Forum Director Prof. Selva Demiralp and Institut du Bosphore Scientific Committee Member, Institut Montaigne Economic Advisor Mr. Eric Chaney who shared their views on the economic outlook, and TÜSİAD Global Politics Forum Coordinator Prof. Evren Balta provided her assessments through Türkiye’s foreign policy, transatlantic and EU relations perspective.

During the virtual tour de table chaired by Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası, President of Institut du Bosphore, discussions focused on global trends and Europe: economy, geopolitics & society in the aftermath of the earthquakes, towards the elections in Türkiye.
